The Brief
It goes without saying that Christmas is a magical time of year, but for us, it is even more special as it allows us to really get into the Christmas spirit by creating some pretty unique Christmas party props! So when we were approached by bespoke-em.com to collaborate with other suppliers to convert an everyday office space into a Christmas fairy tale based on a Disney movie, how could we possibly refuse?
An insurance company based in central London wanted to reward its staff and their families with a Christmas party that would deliver the ultimate wow factor and be the talk of the town. Their idea was to surprise their employees by making their workspace unrecognisable, completely transforming their office into a Christmas wonderland based on the iconic Disney movie, The Nutcracker and the Four Realms, which itself is based on the classic Tchaikovsky dream-like ballet, The Nutcracker. Which was a dream for us! As designers and creators of bespoke Christmas party props, projects like this are literally what we live for. And so we did what we do best, got to work!
The Solution:
By working closely with bespoke-em.com we knew exactly what the client’s expectations were. To fully deliver the wow factor the customer was looking for we wanted the guests to be blown away as soon as the lift doors opened. To achieve this we created a visually stunning white forest that guests entered on arrival, which we constructed by setting up lots of white Christmas trees and birches, plus two giant nutcrackers. We also built a bespoke castle backdrop in the reception area which matched the red and gold theme of the movie. Making unique Christmas party props doesn’t get much better than this, and we had only just started!
To complete this magical Nutcracker-themed Christmas party we decided to design and build Nutcracker-themed Christmas party props in four other rooms, with each room being inspired by a different realm from the film. These were:
● Land of Sweets
● Land of Snowflakes
● Land of Flowers
● Land of Amusements
As an extra treat for the families of the employees, we styled a Santa Grotto by transforming the meeting room into a Victorian library with a fireplace, plus a Christmas tree with lots of gifts.
We had limited time to set up our Christmas party props before the guests arrived, so we had to be quick to get everything as we envisioned, but with our great teamwork, we managed to bring our dream Nutcracker vision to life!
The Outcome
Our brief was to deliver the ultimate wow factor, and our bespoke Nutcracker Christmas party props did just that! Guests were treated to a Christmas party that featured enchanting fairy tale vibes, with falling snowflakes, antique wooden nutcrackers and a beautifully aesthetic metallic gold and scarlet coloured backdrop that really set the mood for this unique Christmas party.
Both bespoke-em.com and the client were ecstatic with the end results, and we look forward to working with them again for future Christmas parties.
